Drydock guide for corp leaders
Free, like all of Keelworks. Setting up takes about two minutes.
Open KeelworksDrydock lets your corp pick a build goal, such as 20 Ishtars for doctrine, and split the work. Members claim the parts they'll build or haul. Everyone sees what's done and what's still needed, what the goal will cost at today's prices, and each contribution is valued so the corp knows what it owes whom. The Blueprints tab keeps the corp's blueprints in one list, so everyone can see who can build what.
Drydock is free, like all of Keelworks. No seats, no billing.
1. Set up your corp (2 minutes)
- Go to Keelworks and log in with EVE as your CEO, a Director or a Factory Manager.
- The CEO is recognised automatically. Directors and Factory Managers need the optional corporation roles permission, which you can tick in Setup under "EVE login".
- Open the Drydock tab. The first officer to set up becomes corp admin.
- As corp admin, you can appoint other admins and goal managers: people who can create and archive goals without being officers.
2. Create your first goal
- Search the item you want, for example Ishtar.
- Set it up the way the corp will build it: facility, blueprints, and which parts to build or buy.
- Click Make corp goal, enter the quantity, and say whether the corp will use the items (doctrine ships) or sell them. Keelworks turns the plan into a goal with every part scaled to that quantity, and saves today's costs as the goal's baseline.
3. Members claim and deliver
- Members log in with EVE and open the Drydock tab. They don't need any extra permissions.
- On the goal board, each part shows how much is claimed, delivered and still needed.
- Claim a part to take it on. Delivered marks it done. Release gives a claim back, and Undo reverses a mistake.
- The progress bar shows how far the whole goal has come.
- Corp bin (optional): officers and goal managers can paste the goal's corp hangar division or container (in EVE: Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C) into the board. It shows In bin next to what members marked delivered and flags parts that don't match. Keelworks never reads your corp hangars: only the goal's own items from the paste are kept.
4. What it costs, and what it's worth
Market prices move, so each goal compares its baseline (prices when you made it) with today:
- Cost to build: today's figure next to the planned one, e.g. "planned 1.42b (+6%)".
- Still to spend: what the parts not yet delivered cost at today's prices. Delivered parts keep the value they were delivered at, so the projection firms up as the goal progresses.
- For goals the corp uses: the saving against buying the same ships ready-made.
- For goals the corp sells: profit after taxes and fees, and roughly how many days it takes to sell them at 20% of the region's daily sales.
- Cautious and range: profit or saving if the finished item sells at the lower of today's price and its 30-day average, and at its 30-day low and high.
Switch between "Corp uses them" and "Corp sells them" on the board at any time. The goal list flags any goal whose cost has moved 10% or more from plan, or that has stopped being worth building.
Changed how you build? (new facility, different decryptor, your own blueprints): officers and goal managers press Re-baseline, set the plan up in Plan, and save. Earlier baselines stay listed under the projection.
5. Who gets credit
Every part counts for the value it adds:
- Raw materials count at market price.
- Built parts count at their market price minus their inputs, and never less than the job fee.
The totals add up to the value of the finished items, so nothing is counted twice. Each member's contributions are listed per goal. You decide how to pay people back, in ISK, ships or loot share.
6. The blueprint library
Open Drydock → Blueprints. Everything here is optional, and Keelworks never asks for your corp's assets.
Fill it (pick what suits your corp):
- Members share their own. Each member chooses Share all, Share some or Not shared for each character. The corp sees each shared blueprint's type, ME/TE, runs and station, and nothing else.
- Link the corp's blueprints. A Director ticks Corp blueprints and hangar names in Setup, logs in once and presses Link corp blueprints. Keelworks reads only blueprint type, ME/TE, runs, hangar division and your division names. EVE only lets Directors grant this.
- Link the corp's jobs. A Factory Manager or Director ticks Corp industry jobs in Setup and presses Link corp jobs. Read-only; it shows which corp BPOs are busy.
- Blueprints in a container show as an unnamed container, because EVE only gives Keelworks the container's number. Under Containers, name each one once, say which division it's in and what it's for (BPO library or working hangar). Everyone then sees "Tsuguwa › BPO Library".
- EVE refreshes the corp's blueprint list about once an hour, so a blueprint you've just moved can take up to an hour to show.
Set it up the way you run your hangars:
- Under Corp hangars, mark which division holds your BPOs (view only for members) and which one copies land in, or mark containers instead under Containers if that's how you organise them. Write where members collect their copies (e.g. "Tsuguwa › Working Hanger"). Corp BPOs in the library then show Copy in game: where to copy them and where to collect the copies, paid from the member's own wallet. Corp BPOs are never lent out through Keelworks.
- With corp jobs linked, each corp BPO shows when it's busy ("copying, free in 3 h, Cat"), so nobody queues behind it. Research jobs show up by themselves.
- Want to check that members pay for their own copies? Tick Show officers copy jobs paid from the corp wallet. Only officers and goal managers see that list.
Use it:
- On every goal, the board shows the best blueprint the corp has for each part it builds, who holds it, and which parts have none.
- Loans: members press Ask to request a copy, a BPC, or to borrow a member's BPO. The holder (or officers, for corp blueprints) marks it given, lent, returned or declined. The hand-over itself happens in game.
- Research targets: set a corp default (ME10/TE20 unless you change it) and targets for single blueprints. BPOs below target show in red; the Below target filter lists them. Mark research by hand if corp jobs aren't linked.
7. Supporting Keelworks (optional)
Keelworks is free for good. If Drydock helps your corp, you can donate ISK from the corp wallet: press Donate in the planner for the name to send it to. Donations unlock nothing; they fund the bug bounties.
Problems or wrong numbers?
Use Report a problem in the planner. The first person to report a confirmed bug earns ISK: 10M for a number that doesn't match EVE, 2M for any other bug. Later reports of the same bug count as duplicates and aren't paid.
